Subject:- Regarding Lapses done by Exam Department and arbitrarily issuing show cause notices to various Schools.
Respected Sir
With due respect we The LOKTANTRIK ADHYAPAK MANCH want to draw your kind attention to the act and lapses of Exam Department which have created unrest and confusion among students and School administration in Delhi Schools. Through the students, teachers and HoSs of many schools we came to know about the following issues.
1. In the history of Exam department of DoE it has been first time that Mid Term Examination was planned and conducted during our Holy festivals of Deepawali and Chhat Puja. Due to examination during this period students could neither enjoy these festivals nor they could prepare well for the examination.
2. In Mid term examination, on the question paper of Economics of class 11th and 12th the subject code was mentioned 80 in place of 30 for which the Exam Department was solely responsible.
3. In Mid term examination the font size of the content was very very small. The students faced great difficulty in reading question papers. It is pertinent to mention here that the children with low vision could not read the paper which is clear violation of their rights and injustice to such students. Even from the psychological point of view, it is ignorance on the part of exam department.
4. In the question papers of class 11th and 12th of subject of History It is not feasible to separate and attach the map with the answer Books. It seems money saving was the priority through paper saving and no attention was paid to the students and their convenience.
5. Exam of subject Physical Education of class 11th was postponed in the middle of examinations. Poor planning of exam department was the reason of disturbance which derailed the continuity of exam preparation of students.
6. The month of November is approaching its end but it is very surprising and serious also that support material has not been provided to the students. What lapse could be greater than this. The support material must be provided to the students immediately so that students of Delhi schools could prepare well.
7. We requested your Good self to extend the last date of uploading the result on MIS. In response to our request the date was extended to 11/11/2022 but the defaulter list was uploaded on MIS on 10/11/2022 which is not reasonable and fair. Not only this, around 350 schools were issued SCN. Further to humiliate the HoSs and teachers, they were being called to file their reply in person not through mail or other mode.
We The LOKTANTRIK ADHYAPAK MANCH want to mention here that President LAM Mr Krishan Kumar Phogat had a telephonic conversation with DDE Eam Branch and suggested that another term 'STATUS OF RESULT FEEDING AS ON (Date)' should be used instead of ' DEFAULTER LIST' because mention of defaulter list is not correct as the date has not reached.
Sir, this year's schedule and activities of exam department has been in unorganised and haphazard manner which has put unnecessary pressure on Students and schools. We request you to have a review of the above-mentioned issues and direct the exam branch to correct these in future in favour of our Students and withdraw the SCNs issued to schools and teachers.
