Change in working hours for teachers as per RTE Act.


The DOE  has  issued the Order reg. Change in working hours for teachers as per RTE Act. The Text matter of which is given below:-

ORDER

Subject :- Change in working hours for teachers as per RTE Act

Reference circular No. F.DE.23 (10)/RTE/2011-12/797-806 dated 27.01.2014, wherein the order dated 24.01.2014 on the  above mentioned subject was kept in abeyance till the start of next academic session 2014-15. It has been decided to increase the working hours of teachers by half an hour. This would be applicable to all Govt. and Aided schools in NCT of Delhi. Further the un-aided recognized schools in NCT of Delhi may follow their own timings while ensuring that the teachers spend half an hour extra in schools apart from normal teaching hours.
According the new timings for teachers of Govt. And aided schools would be as under :-

The above timings will be applicable with immediate effect. Those teachers of Govt./aided/un-aided recognized schools who accompany children in school buses as per order of Hon’ble Supreme Court in this regard are exempted from this order.

There will be no change in the existing timings for children.

The Principals/ HOS would ensure that all the teachers perform their duties as per RTE Act, 2009 in letter and spirit.
