Recruitment Rules for the Post of

Trained Graduate Teacher (Natural/Physical Science)
under the Directorate of Education, Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi

Vide Notification No. F.2(4)/72.Services II, Dated : 5-7-1972 and amended vide No. F. 27 (8)/88-Edn./1858-63, Dated : 11-12-1991 and as on 01-10-1999

1.	Name of Post	:	Trained Graduate Teacher (Natural/Physical Science)
2.	Number of Posts	:	Subject to the variation depending on workload
3.	Classification	:	Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted, Non Ministerial (Group ‘B’ as per VI CPC)
4.	Pay Band & Grade pay/Pay Scale	:	Rs. 1400-2600 (Pre-Revised) and Rs. 5500-9000 (V CPC), PB-2 (Rs. 9300 – 34800) (Grade Pay Rs. 4600/-) as per 6 CPC
5.	Whether Selection Post or Non- Selection Post	:	Selection
6.	Age limit for direct recruits	:	Below 30 years. (Relaxable upto 40 years in case of Female Candidates and relaxable for employees of Delhi Admn. Up to 40 years for General Candidates and 45 years for SC/ST candidates)
7.	Educational & other qualification required for direct recruits	:	Essential (a)    Two or one of the following as main subject at graduation level :- Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Botany, Zoology. (b)   The Second subject can be from amongst the following also : Mathematics, English, Computer Science, Statistics, Provided further that the requirement as to minimum of 45% marks in the aggregate at graduation level shall be relaxable in case of (a) Candidates who possess a Post Graduate Qualification in any of the teaching subject listed above, (b) belonging to SC/ST (c) Physically Handicapped candidates. (c)    Degree (B.Ed.)/Diploma in training Education or S.A.V. Certificate. (d)   CTET (Elementary Stage) Conducted by CBSE (As per Delhi Gazette Notification date 07.10.2011. (e)   Working knowledge of Hindi language at least upto Secondary Level or equivalent. Note : Qualifications are relaxable at the discretion of the competent authority for reasons to be recorded in writing, in the case of candidates otherwise well qualified.
8.	Whether age & educational qualifications prescribed for direct recruits will apply in case of Promotees	:	Age : No Education Qualification : Yes
9.	Period of Probation, if any	:	02 Years.
10.	Method of recruitment, whether by direct recruitment or by promotion or by deputation/absorption & %  of vacancies to be filled by various methods	:	1. By Promotion from Asstt. Teachers of the Dte. Of Edn. Having minimum of 5 years regular service as Asstt. Teacher failing which by direct rectt. 20%      2. By promotion from Lab. Asstt. Of the Dte. Of Edu. Having a minimum of 5 years regular services as Lab. Asstt. Failing which by direct rectt. 5%.     3.  By Promotion from Asstt. Teachers of MCD having minimum of 5 yrs. Regular service as Asstt. Teacher, subject wise on basis of seniority-cum-merit failing which by direct rectt. 47%.    4. By direct recruitment. 28%.
11.	In case of recruitment by promotion/deputation/absorption, grades from which promotion/deputation/absorption to be made	:	1. Asstt. Teachers of Schools under Dte. Of Education.      2.  Asstt. Teachers of Municipal Cooperation of Delhi primary Schools.      3. Laboratory Asstts. Of Schools under Dte. Of Education.
